One depressing open studio day my wife suggested I paint her a picture rather than worrying about lack of visitors. These fabulous blue poppies, Meconopsis Lingholm were in flower in our garden and, because of my grey mood, I painted them quickly and vigorously. I don't often paint flowers but I really enjoyed this one and it now hangs in our lounge.
