This day in the Clwyddian Hills was possibly the windiest I have ever walked in. When we finally crested the ridge I thought it would be calmer on the other side. It took my wife and I an hour to walk another mile as we had to head straight into the teeth of a gale.
In the calm of my studio I decided to use collage to represent the textures of the hill side and pastel rubbed into the sky and over the hill top to suggest rain.
