Who'd have thought breaking up an old rainwater tank could lead to a painting? I liked the texture of the rusty sludge in the bottom of the tank so I did what any sane person would do, I poured it over a board, sealed it with PVA when dry and then painted on it! I used mainly inks and the rough surface made them flare in interesting ways. Some I turned into spiky bushes and smoother bits became rocks. A friend provided the title for me. That's what I call a satisfying day's painting.
